When I arrived in Sydney in late 2022, I didn’t have much. No job. No connections. No family waiting at the airport. Just a luggage, a medium bag and a small bag, a student visa, fifty dollars in my wallet, and a quiet determination to figure things out on my own.

I started studying marketing full-time while working in restaurants and retail to support myself. Everything felt unfamiliar. The system, the culture, even the pace of life. There were nights I came home too tired to eat, and mornings I woke up already feeling behind.

Still, I kept going.

I said yes to unpaid internships because I wanted real experience. I completed hundreds of certifications because I care deeply about learning and growing. I worked on mental health and community projects to stay grounded and to connect with something bigger than myself.

Over time, I began to find my voice. Not just as a student, but as someone who could contribute. Someone who could take each challenge and turn it into something better.
